A 26-year-old man has been arrested under the Terrorism Act.
He was arrested in north-west London at around 7.30pm on Tuesday (August 8).
The Met's Counter Terrorism Command arrested him on suspicion of being involved in the commission, preparation and instigation of terrorism.
The man, who was arrested under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000, has been taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody.
Firearms officers assisted the Counter Terrorism Command in Tuesday's operation as a precautionary measure. No firearms were discharged.
