Kavita Hansla, of Hounslow, has written heartwarming poem 'Another Day' following the horrifying terrorist attack at the gates of Parliament last Wednesday (March 22).

PC Palmer was stabbed to death in the street as he tried to protect Parliament.

The commemorative poem describes his life and people's gratitude for the sacrifice he made that day.

Read the poem below:

Another Day

The sun shone on for him today

Blue skies and the clouds perfectly apart.

PC Keith Palmer was stabbed to death in Westminster

Towers on towers formed by flowers

To thank the man that gave us his heart.

Every inch a hero, every bit a man

We live on because of his sacrifice.

We won't waste time glorifying this crime.

We remember the soldier who gave us his life.

4157U - PC Keith Palmer's number

To be retired and never issued again.

Loud and proud masses of crowds

He was loved in life and now in death.

24 hours on from where terror struck

Though with heavy hearts for those injured.

I was proud to see this was just another day

"You can't scare us", London whispered.
