Detectives are appealing for information about a French national who has been missing since the attack on London Bridge on Saturday (June 3).

Xavier Thomas, 45, was walking south over the bridge with his girlfriend when the attackers drove their hired van into pedestrians at around 10pm.

Witness accounts suggest it is possible Xavier was struck by the van, which resulted in him being thrown into the River Thames.

Xavier's girlfriend, who he was on a weekend visit to London with, was seriously injured on the bridge when she was hit by the van.

Specialist officers from the Marine Police Unit and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) have been searching the river since the attack.

Seven people were killed in the attack on Saturday (June 3) and a further 48 were injured.

After the attack on London Bridge, the three terrorists got out of the van and used knives to attack members of the public at bars and restaurants in Borough High Street.

Armed officers killed all three men within eight minutes of receiving a 999 call.
