Former rugby coach jailed after sexually abusing young boys in his care
A former west London rugby coach who filmed and sexually abused boys in his care has been jailed for three years and eight months after admitting 17 sexual offences.
David Simmons, 26, of Greystones Road, Sheffield, pleaded guilty at Southwark Crown Court on May 4 and was sentenced there on Thursday (June 29).
Simmons, who started his own west London coaching business in 2001 for boys aged eight to 16, admitted seven counts of voyeurism and one of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
On top of this, he admitted four counts of sexual assault, two of sexual assault on a male, and three of making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child.
Fraudster trio inspired by the mafia jailed for £200,000 online scam selling non-existent items
A Mafia-inspired trio, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to money launder at Harrow Crown Court.
Constantin Florea, aged 36, Ion Buruleanu, 39, and Theodor Draghici, 32, all pleaded guilty to the £200,000 fraud at the court on April 21.
They made online accounts on some of the biggest websites on the internet to scam customers and were sentenced to a total of 90 months in prison.
The ringleader, Florea, called himself "Provenzano" after the Italian mafia don of the same name.
Pinner armed robber back behind bars for sending guns in the POST
A convicted armed robber is back in jail after importing guns from America to the UK - through the post.
Jason Nicholas, 45, of Mount Park Road, Pinner, tried to fool postal workers by splitting the gun components up and posting the weapons to a fake addressee.
But the robber, who served jail time for his part in a string of armed robberies in north and west London, was caught out when his fingerprints were found on the packages.

A man was jailed after admitting posting pictures of a Grenfell Tower victim on social media.
Omega Mwaikambo, 43, pleaded guilty to two offences contrary to section 127 of the Communications Act, Scotland Yard said.
He was sentenced to three months at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday.
He got two sentences of six weeks in prison, to run one after the other.
Asset management vice president stole more than £800,000 from employer
A former city asset management company vice president is behind bars after stealing more than £800,000 from his employer.
Sunil Jain, 40, of Alfriston Avenue, Harrow , was sentenced to five-and-a-half years in prison after faking invoices and making unauthorised payments into his own personal bank account, while working at First International Group.
He was found guilty of a charge of theft by employee, after a four-week trial, in which he showed "no remorse" for his actions.
Fraudster jailed for two years after scam which netted £45,000
A credit card thief who made over £45,000 from fraudulent transactions has been jailed.
Deep Mann struck in several London boroughs, including Ealing, and the Home Counties, scamming several small businesses in a four-month period.
The 28-year-old had previously admitted to several counts of fraud and was handed a two-year prison sentence at Isleworth Crown Court on June 26.
Gang which tortured teenage kidnap victim in Hanworth garage jailed for total of 54 years
Four men who abducted a man in a busy town centre before violently assaulting him at an address in Hanworth have been jailed.
Haris Khan, Chayce Greene, Courtnie Greene - all from Hounslow - and Brendan Makumbi were sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday (June 26) for a total of 54 years.
The court heard how their victim was punched, whipped, stripped and burnt with a cigarette lighter, after he was bundled into a car in Kingston on the afternoon of October 14.

A woman who spat at and punched a member of station staff before claiming "you're lucky it wasn't an uppercut, I'm from the Ends" has been sent to prison.
Toni Pottle, 29, of no fixed address, was seen to be harassing a passenger before the assault at Euston in the early hours of April 15.
A female member of staff had asked her to leave the station, resulting in what police described as "nonsensical" racial abuse.
She then punched the woman and spat in her face.

A "violent" man who repeatedly stabbed a good Samaritan after he came to the aid of a female bus passenger has been found guilty of attempted murder.
Abtidoon Diriye, 21, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to 20 years in prison following the Acton attack.
Police praised the "heroic actions" of the victim, who put himself in danger to stop a woman from coming to serious harm.
'Predatory sex offender' jailed for rape and sexual assault of girl
A man has been jailed for raping a girl in Harrow.
Brijeshkumar Barot, of The Broadway in Harrow, was sentenced to 15 years in prison at Southwark Crown Court on Wednesday (June 14).
The 37-year-old was found guilty of the rape and sexual assault of a child under the age of 13, at the same court on May 17.
