Commuters are facing long delays this morning (May 8) after a vehicle caught fire on the A40 on Sunday.
The road was closed at around 6pm on Western Avenue eastbound, between A4180 West End Road (Polish War Memorial) and A312 Church Road (Target Roundabout).
Two lanes are still closed and traffic remains severe around west London, with one driver claiming traffic is “stationary from Hillingdon”.
Users should expect continued delays and closures throughout today as emergency road resurfacing is due to take place later on.
