A kitten rescued after she was trapped in a tyre shop for several weeks has found a new home.

A frail six-month-old Frannie was found by the owner of Brent Tyre Service on Church Road after he returned from his holidays.

He contacted The Mayhew Animal Home in Kensal Green and informed animal welfare officers who rushed her back to the home.

The black and white kitten was filthy, covered in dirt from where she had sat in the tyres and extremely weak.

It is believed she sneaked into the shop and was accidentally shut inside over the Christmas break.

Vets gave her a well-deserved bath, a full check-up and care to help her get her strength back.

Frannie was back on her paws in no time and has now moved in with her new owners.
