A woman from Kingston has been jailed for manslaughter after a man was stabbed to death.

Shauna Doyle, of Burritt Road, was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment at Kingston Crown Court on Friday (January 5), seven months after Derick Mulondo was killed.

The 23-year-old pleaded guilty to manslaughter and possession of an offensive weapon on December 5.

Eric Wertz, 45, of Comber Road in New Malden, was also jailed for three years and four months for attempted grievous bodily harm with intent.

They also both received nine-month jail sentences for possession of an offensive weapon, but the sentences will run concurrently.

The pair were arrested on the day Mr Mulondo was stabbed to death in Cambridge Estate, Kingston.

Paramedics and an air ambulance crew were called to the scene at 6pm on June 6, but the 38-year-old was then pronounced dead at the scene.

They were originally charged with murder, two days after Mr Mulondo's death, but the court later accepted their pleas of manslaughter and attempted grievous bodily harm with intent.
