A teenager was rushed to hospital on Tuesday night (October 10) after being stabbed in the street in Chelsea .

Police were called to King's Road at around 7.34pm following reports of a stabbing.

A spokesman for Metropolitan Police said: "Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and found a 16-year-old boy with stab injuries.

"He was taken to a central London hospital where he remain in a stable condition."

One passer-by described a "massive, horrible incident" and shared pictures from the scene on Twitter.

According to police, no arrests have been made and Kensington and Chelsea CID continue to investigate.

A cordon was put in place during the evening as part of the road was closed and traffic was asked to avoid the area.
