A car and motorbike have been involved in a collision near Kilburn High Road station.

Emergency services were reported to be at the scene of the collision on Sunday afternoon, where a male rider was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

A video posted by @SuzyQ_uennie showed the bike lying on the floor and a black car within the police cordon outside Primark.

She said there had been a "bad accident" and advised people to avoid the area.

Kilburn High Road was closed in both directions between Belsize Road and Brondesbury Road while emergency services dealt with the incident.

TfL Traffic News tweeted: "A5 Kilburn High Road/Brondesbury Villas nr Kilburn High Road station - Road blocked following a collision. Emergency services on scene."

Motorists were warned of slow traffic in the area which affected travel between Maida Vale and Cricklewood.

The road fully re-opened at around 4.15pm, according to TfL.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at around 2.17pm on Sunday October 29 to reports of a collision between a car and a motoribke at the junction of Kilburn High Road and Brondesbury Road in Brent.

"The driver was uninjured. The male rider (no further details) was taken to hospital.

"His injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing. No arrests, enquiries continue."
