Adopted children and those in foster care are being offered free play sessions at Kidzania, in Westfield shopping centre.

The Cornerstone Partnership has teamed up with kids’ role-play store in Shepherd’s Bush to offer families associated with it free sessions throughout January, February and March.

The social enterprise provides training and support for adoption and fostering families , and works in the tri-borough area of Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham and Westminster.

Helen Costa, CEO of The Cornerstone Partnership and mother of two-adopted children, said: “At Kidzania they look at things from a child’s perspective and through their play zones offer children the space to become independent, to build their self-confidence and to be creative.

“This is perfect for families who adopt or foster children as this gives them a chance to play in a safe and attachment-friendly environment as they can see the adults at all times, but still have the confidence to explore on their own.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for families who adopt and foster and we are so thrilled and excited to have Kidzania on board.”

Kidzania is 75,000sq ft child-size city where children are in chrge.

It allows kids to access a number of different zones introducing them to a world of play, with each role-play experience is crafted to teach them essential life skills including financial, literacy, team work and independence.
