Pupils from a school in Shepherd’s Bush showed they had the W Factor when they held their annual talent show .

Children from Wendell Park Primary School in Cobbald Road put on their 10th show on March 18, and saw a Spice Girls tribute act make off with the top prize.

Mya Campos, Randa Sharif and Nicole Uyanneh, aged six and seven, were crowned overall winners of the talent show for cover of the 1990s girl band’s breakthrough hit Wannabe.

Judges at the W Factor also awarded prizes for best group, won by Charlene Atim and Tehya Gager for their step-perfect street dance; best solo performance given to body popping dancer Aidan Klopper; and best original act, which went to violinist and pianists Miku Ikeda-MacDermott and Milly Caracciolo-Shahi.

Event organiser and teacher Lianne Stanford said: “The teachers also got up on stage to do a surprise act so we really do know just how nerve wracking it is performing under the spotlight, in front of all those people.

“The children did a great job and the level of talent at Wendell Park Primary just gets better and better each year.”

Last year the school raise £5,500 for a new playground in a sponsored walk.
