A gofundme page has been launched in memory of the 15-year-old schoolboy who was stabbed to death near the gates of his school in Kensal Green .

Quamari Barnes died after he was attacked in broad daylight near Capital City Academy in Doyle Gardens at around 3.30pm on Monday (January 23).

A fundraising campaign has now been launched to pay for Quamari's funeral and burial expenses.

The page was set up by Sasha Mitchell, Quamari's godmother, who said: “On January 23 we unexpectedly lost Quamari Serunkuma Barnes in a horrific attack outside his school.

“He was just a beautiful boy who loved his friends and family.

“Our family thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this horrendous time.”

The page was set up on Tuesday (January 24) and has raised almost £15,000.

Friends and well wishers have left tributes to the 15-year-old on the page while leaving their donations.

The page aims to raise £20,000 for Quamari's funeral, burial and other costs and so far 627 donations have been made.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested in South Norbury on Tuesday in connection with the stabbing and was still in police custody on Wednesday (January 25).

Flowers and messages have been left at the gates of Capital City Academy and students gathered nearby on Tuesday to remember Quamari.
