Commuters on the Jubilee Line will get some good news this autumn as the Night Tube is set to extend to the line as early as October 7.

Transport for London has announced it will be the third line to get services running all night over the weekend.

The service will operate across the entire of the London Underground line and is said to be a boost to London's economy by providing late transport for major venues in the city.

Mayor Sadiq Khan said: "The launch on the Jubilee Line will support thousands more workers like nurses, cleaners and people who work in our bars and restaurants — many of whom currently take two night buses to get home.

"It will also serve some of our city’s key venues, with the O2, Wembley Stadium and Stratford on the route."

West London stations including Kilburn, Wembley Park, Willesden Green, Dollis Hill, Neasden and Kingsbury will benefit from the extension.

The first ever service in the city launched last Friday (August 19) and was hailed a success by both users and the police force, after no arrests were made in the first weekend.

Over 100,000 enjoyed the Night Tube for the first time, with British Transport Police promising it do its utmost to keep travel safe at all times for commuters.

Businesses such as Tesco tried out 24-hour openings and elsewhere the capital launched all kinds of activities for the early hours such as fitness classes and later food menus to accommodate the new move.
