While the eyes of the world focused on the RHS Chelsea Flower Show , nearby streets have been transformed into a riot of floral carnival colour.

The jaw-dropping displays around Sloane Square and surrounding roads are part of Chelsea in Bloom, which runs in tandem with the prestigious flower show.

Shops around the Sloane Square area have been transformed into a floral extravaganza, with installations spilling out of shops in the area and onto the pavements and beyond.

The event is put on by Cadogan Estates in association with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, with Carnival the theme for this year’s display.

Members of the public will also be able to vote for their favourite breath-taking displays.

Chelsea in Bloom runs from May 23 to 29. Last year around 40 shops transformed themselves into a fairy tale wonderland in what was the tenth Chelsea in Bloom.

Its more esteemed neighbouring flower show will take place at from May 24-28 at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, with the Queen dropping in to view displays on May 23.
