A man has died in hospital, just hours after allegedly being assaulted at an Ethiopian restaurant.

Police responded to reports of an assault at the Bethel Cafe in Seven Sisters Road, north London, at 10pm on Tuesday (November 28).

Officers found a man in his 40s with life-threatening injuries.

He was rushed to a north London hospital where he received treatment but he succumbed to his injuries at 2.15pm the following day (November 30).

Police have launched a murder investigation but no arrests have yet been made.

A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out soon.

The incident happened at the Bethel Cafe in Seven Sisters Road

The man's next of kin have been informed but he has not yet been formally identified by police.
