Police have released images of two men they wish to speak to following a robbery which saw a man hit in the head with a brick in Northolt .

Metropolitan Police said shortly after 12.20am on July 10, a 43-year-old man was approached by two suspects in Rowdell Road who demanded money.

Officers said that without warning, the first suspect attacked the man and hit him on the head with a brick.

Despite being dazed, the victim fled to a nearby gym where staff administered first aid, the force added.

Police said both suspects ran off with the victim's bag which contained his mobile phone, cash, bank card and driving licence.

The victim, who has since been discharged, attended hospital a short while later where he was treated for a deep cut to his cheek and eyebrow along with bruising and swelling to his face.

Officers have described the first suspect as a black, dark-skinned male with short brown hair, wearing a grey hooded top and blue jeans.

Police described the second suspect as a white male, with short brown hair and was wearing a grey hooded top and blue jeans, along with a silver chain.

DC Andrew Cresswell from Ealing CID, said: "This was a nasty attack on a man leaving the gym on his way home.

"It is only by sheer chance that he did not sustain any lasting injuries from a brutal attack to the head.
