This is the chilling image of weapons uncovered by police during a stop and search in Hounslow.

The bag of horrors contained a number of dangerous tools including a cleaver knife, pliers and a screwdriver, police posted on Twitter.

Officers from the borough's Crime Squad unit made the haunting discovery on Wellington Road South on Tuesday (August 8).

The contents of a bag also included a small black torch.

Hounslow Police made an arrest in relation to the find.

They tweeted: "One Male Arrested on Wellington Road South yesterday afternoon by Crime Squad after this little lot were found inside his bag #OpSceptre."

A male was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon and going equipped to steal.

Operation Spectre was launched in July 2015 and is aimed at tackling knife crime in London by targeting not only those who carry and use knives, but also those who supply, provide access to and import weapons.

The operation has resulted in the recovery and removal of 1,435 weapons from the capital's streets and 2,294 arrests of which 473 were for possession of a knife or weapon, police said in July.
