The sister of convicted murderer Levi Bellfield has branded him a coward and a monster, revealing that she is convinced he murdered more than three women.
Bellfield, who is currently serving a full life term for killing 13-year-old Milly Dowler in 2003, finally revealed this week that he was behind a string of other brutal attacks.
His confession, which came 14 years after Milly’s tragic death , has sparked new investigations across the country, with Metropolitan Police also re-launching investigations into rapes and murder in west London that could be connected to the convicted killer .
His parental half-sister, Ann-Marie Bellfield, has urged police to probe links the former West Drayton bouncer may have to another two young women who vanished two years before he raped and killed Milly Dowler.
She said: “Levi is manipulative, psychotic, cruel and unfeeling. I can’t think of enough derogatory things to say about him.
“I am certain he is behind more horrific crimes . He is a monster.”
'I hope he rots in hell'
In April 1999 student Elizabeth Chau, 19, was caught on CCTV near Ealing police station as she walked home from Thames Valley University and was never seen again.
Then in January 2000, US-born computer graduate Lola Shenkoya, 27, got off a bus by Burger King near Ealing Broadway station and also dissappeared.
Ann-Marie said that her brother may have stalked his victims while he operated a car clamping business in the same area.
She also revealed that the former bouncer rang her from jail to protest his innocence when police grilled him about the missing girls.
She said: “Them two girls just disappeared off of the street. At the time, Levi had a clamping business in West Ealing, which was in the area, and I do believe he is somehow linked to those cases.
“He rang me when he was on remand for the murders of Marsha McDonnell and Amelie Delagrange. He said the police were trying to pin the other two cases on him.
“He was jumpy and said, ‘They’re trying to do me for them missing girls in Ealing but I never had anything to do with it’.
"We’d speak every fortnight, whenever he wanted to know something about the family. He liked to gossip and pretend he was your friend but he’s just a fat old man with a very sick streak.
“He never once admitted what he had done and never had any remorse. Levi is a master manipulator and a rotten liar.
"It sends a shiver down my spine whenever I think about the awful things he has done. I hope he rots in hell.”
'He's a dangerous psychopath'
getwestlondon reported on Thursday (January 29) that Bellfield is suspected of involvement in up to 20 other attacks , including rape and murder, dating to 1980.
Ann-Marie revealed how her brother, who now goes by the name Yusuf Rahim, converted to Islam when he became a target in jail following his conviction over Milly.
She said: “He said they were good boys and would look after him and he liked their body oil. He got friendly with Islamic guys and didn’t have a problem.
“He found out a paedophile had been slashed in Wakefield jail and thought he would be next, he was a marked man after he was convicted of Milly’s murder.
“He’s a coward and a bully and he deserves anything that comes his way.”
Ann-Marie also said she asked the Home Office to stop Bellfield contacting her after he bombarded her with letters and phone calls begging her to organise an appeal.
She said: “I don’t want anything to do with him and never did once I found out what he had done. I only hope he finally gives his victims’ families some peace.
"He probably thinks confessing gives him a chance of freedom but he should never be allowed out. He’s a dangerous psychopath.”
Former Detective Chief Inspector Colin Sutton said on on Thursday (January 28) he felt that Levi Bellfield confessed Milly Dowler murder in 'hopes to get parole under Human Rights law' .
