The Network Housing Group has hit its target to build more affordable homes in London and the South East over the last four years.

Since 2011, the housing association has delivered 1,550 new homes and provided housing for 5,500 people. Of the homes built, 814 are for affordable and social rent, 666 are for affordable home ownership and 70 have been built for private sale.

The homes have been completed at locations in Brent, Ealing, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Westminster, Lambeth, East Herts and Waltham Forest.

The scheme was under the Affordable Homes Programme 2011/15 and the Mayor’s Housing Covenant: Homes for Working Londoners.

Vicky Savage, group development director at Network Housing Group, said: “We are very proud of our achievement.

"We have successfully delivered over 1,500 quality new affordable homes across London and the South East and housed 5,500 people at a time when there is desperate shortage.

"We are working hard with our local authority, GLA and HCA partners and private developers, to maximise delivery of new homes across the capital and Hertfordshire.

"Our aim is to meet local needs and provide a range of homes from large family rented houses to apartments for the ‘squeezed middle’.

"We are looking forward to the coming year and meeting our ambitious growth targets going forward."
