A man has died following an incident at Hounslow railway station on Friday night (December 15).

Officers from British Transport Police were called to the station at 10.30pm to reports of a person being struck by a train.

Paramedics attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "Officers are working to identify the man and inform his family.

"This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

At the time of the incident, trains from central London were diverted via Richmond and Twickenham.
