A man in his 20s is fighting for his life after being shot in Edgar Road, Hounslow .
Police were called after gunshots were heard in the Hounslow Heath Estate at around 11.35pm on Monday (August 28).
Armed police attended the scene and discovered the young man who was suffering from gunshot injuries.
He was rushed to a west London hospital by London Ambulance Service, where he remains in a critical condition, police confirmed.
Police have not made any arrests and are making enquiries in connection with the shooting.
Trident, a special gang crime unit within the Metropolitan Police , is assisting Hounslow Police with its investigation.
