A road in Hounslow has been closed due to a collision.

Buses have been diverted and traffic is building in the area following the incident at around 6.30pm on Monday September 18.

Transport for London said on its website: "[A315] Staines Road (TW4) (Westbound) between Munster Avenue and Frampton Road - Road closed due to a collision."

On Twitter, TfL Bus Alerts said: "Routes 116 117 235 237 423 are diverted in Staines Road Hounslow due to a road traffic collision."

Traffic back to normal

We understand that traffic has returned to normal on Staines Road following a serious collision at around 6pm today.

Buses have returned to their usual routes after they were diverted around the road closure in both directions.

He is described as being in a serious but stable condition.

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after crashing with a car in Staines Road.

The crash took place just after 6pm and the road was closed in both directions and emergency services dealt with the incident.

Road reopened

Staines Road, which was closed in both directions following an earlier collision has now reopened.

The road was closed at around 6.30pm between Munster Avenue and Frampton Road.
