X Factor rapper Honey G is in the thick of rehearsing for a “proper mega” performance after getting through to the live finals.
The contestant from Harrow , whose real name is Anna Gilford, was over the moon when mentor Sharon Osbourne chose her as one of her final three in the overs category on Sunday (October 2) night's show.
Since stepping into the X Factor house which she says “is brilliant”, the 35-year-old has started rehearsing for the first live show this weekend.
Getwestlondon spoke to the urban artist from the X Factor house.
“I am completely over the moon with Sharon's decision to take me through to the live shows,” Honey G said.
“I'm really excited and cannot wait to perform. I'm so pleased to have Sharon as my mentor – she gets me and understands me.
“She calls me 'my gangster rapper' on the phone.
“She put me through, she knows I'm a genuine urban artist. She's not just put me through because I'm entertaining.”
With high hopes to get far in the competition Honey G has set her sights on a record deal with Syco as “I want to sell millions of records”, as she said in last night's show.
So far it's been vocal coaching and rehearsals with choreography starting tomorrow, she added.
As one of the most talked about contestants of the series so far, she has faced backlash on social media with calls for the show to be cancelled, but this hasn't fazed the rising star.
“People who go online and start to argue and dis me, they are haters and I don't take notice of haters,” said Honey G.
“People who have the audacity to take the time out of their life to put negative reports have got issues.”
The artist said she has been involved in music her whole life and has been pushing urban music for the last 20 years.
“I'm not a bedroom producer, I'm a heavyweight. There are also people saying they want me to win....people love my style.”
As Honey G prepares for her first live show she tells us she will be performing “some very big hits and the whole production is going to be proper mega”.
