Two Hillingdon sisters are holding a fete on Saturday (June 27) in memory of their mum.
The event will help raise money for Cancer Research UK and Winston’s Wish which helps bereaved children.
The event will have a bouncy castle, special appearances from Peppa Pig and George, as well as a BBQ and stalls held by local businesses.
Kajal said: “This year will be 10 years since our lovely mum lost her battle with bowel cancer.
“Since becoming a mum and mum-to be, we have considered how awful this would have been had we been younger.
“Although losing a parent or loved one at any age is difficult, we believe that the younger you are, the more support you need from those around you and trained professionals.”
The sisters were just 21 and 25 when their mother passed away.
Alex Drew, Cancer Research UK’s local fundraising manager for London, said: “Kajal and Saijal are an inspiration and we can’t thank them enough for their commitment to helping Cancer Research UK beat cancer sooner.”
Clara Browning, for Winston’s Wish, added: “The death of a parent or sibling is one of the most fundamental losses a child will ever face and the money raised helps us support these families when they need it most.”
