Furious Heathrow Airport passengers have complained of being stranded overnight, lost baggage and being stuck in queues "for hours" as snow continues to disrupt flights for a second day.

Flights to and from the airport were affected on Sunday (December 10) into Monday after light snowfall.

Passengers took to Twitter to vent their frustration, sharing pictures and videos of long queues and row upon row of suitcases left at baggage reclaim.

There are claims people have been stuck overnight as the terminals descend into "chaos".

Heathrow said flights on Monday are disrupted due to aircraft and crew being out of position following Sunday's delays.

"We're working with our airline partners to return aircraft to where they need to be and full service recovery remains the focus," a spokesman said.

Armed police have been deployed to the terminals "as usual", the spokesman added.

Videos show enormous queues as thousands of people try to make their way through the airport.

Passengers have been advised to contact airlines before travelling to the airport.
