A man was stabbed after a gang of eight assaulted him late at night at a bus stop in Heathrow Airport .

The 20-year-old male victim was taken to hospital after the group of up to eight people, both men and women, assaulted him just before midnight on Friday (June 16).

Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the attack that occurred at bus stop K, Hatton Road North, situated on the Northern Perimeter Road at the hub airport.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "At this early stage it is believed that the victim, a 20-year-old man, was assaulted by a group of up to eight people, both male and female.

"He suffered a stab injury.

"London Ambulance Service attended and he was taken to a west London hospital for treatment.

"His condition is not life-threatening."

So far, police have made no arrests and are continuing their enquiries.
