A road in Hayes is expected to remain closed until Monday (October 17) at the earliest following a burst water main.

The water leak was first reported on Twitter at around 5pm on Saturday (October 15) and bus routes were diverted due to the road closure.

Radio Jackie Travel tweeted on Saturday, saying: “Pinkwell Lane both ways closed due to burst water main between Mildred Avenue and Carnarvon Drive.”

Transport for London's bus alerts Twitter account said: “Route U4 on diversion via Bourne Avenue and Mildred Avenue due to closure of Pinkwell Lane Hayes for a burst water main.”

The road is closed in both directions as a result of the burst main.

In a separate event this week the M4 was closed causing chaos on the roads when a lorry overturned causing a diesel spill.
