A man from Harrow has pleaded guilty to manslaughter of his father on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

45-year-old Mohsin Manji entered the plea when he appeared at the Old Bailey on Friday January 6.

Mohsin Manji, of Kingshill Drive in Harrow, was originally charged with the murder of his father , Amirali Manji on January 13 2016.

The 81-year-old died in hospital on Thursday December 3, four days after being assaulted by his son at the address in Kingshill Drive on the morning of Sunday November 29 2015.

A post-mortem examination revealed that the cause of death was head injuries.

Mohsin Manji has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act with no fixed end date to the sentence.
