Police have identified the victim of a fatal car crash which saw one passenger dead and two injured in Harrow .

Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses and information after police were called at around 8:45pm on Monday, February 15, to reports that a blue Mercedes C180 had collided with a roundabout on Harrow View before colliding with a wall.

They attended the scene along with the London Fire Brigade and the London Ambulance Service, who took the driver and two passengers to hospital.

One passenger, a 30-year-old man, was pronounced dead hours later at 10:50pm. His next of kin have been informed.

He has been formally identified as Patrick Rooney, 30, from Maple Cross, Rickmansworth, in Hertfordshire.

A post mortem examination took place on Wednesday, February 17 and collision investigators are awaiting the result.

An inquest will open and adjourn in due course.

The driver, a 33-year-old man, and a passenger, a 13-year-old boy, were taken to a central London hospital where they remain in a stable condition.

Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of the collision.

Officers would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the Mercedes in the moments leading up to the collision.

There have been no arrests at this time in connection with the collision.
