Poor visibility during this week's cold snap has been blamed for a crash between a bus and car in Harrow .

The number H11 single-decker bus was in collision with a black Volkswagen people carrier, smashing the back window of the car completely.

The front of the bus was extensively damaged, with smashed glass littering the door and driver's area.

Harrow MPS said the crash happened just after midnight on Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning (December 12-13) in Lascelles Avenue.

Officers added: "No-one was arrested or injured and it was believed to have happened by poor vision and visibility due to the weather."

On Twitter, police said: "This bus won't be on time... no injuries but lots of damage!"
