Flames engulfed the floor and roof of a semi-detached house in Harefield on Tuesday afternoon (December 19).

Four fire engines attended the blaze in Mount Pleasant that London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called to at 2.59pm.

An LFB spokesman said: "We were called to a fire in Mount Pleasant at 2.59 pm.

"Four fire engines are attending the blaze where the floor and roof of a semi-detached property are alight."

Four fire engines are currently attended the blaze on Tuesday afternoon (December 12)

LFB remained at the scene tackling the blaze at 4pm on Tuesday.

House fire dealt with

London Fire Brigade has fully dealt with the Harefield house fire and its cause is now under investigation.

There were no reported injuries but man was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.

London Fire Brigade issue statement on Harefield house fire that damaged the first floor and part of the roof

An LFB spokesman said: “Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a house in Mount Pleasant, Harefield.

“Half of the first floor and part of the roof of a semi-detached house were damaged in the fire.

“Two people left the property before the arrival of the Brigade and one man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service crews.

“The Brigade was called at 2.59pm and the fire was under control at 4.52pm.

“Fire crews from Ruislip and Harrow fire stations attended the scene along with colleagues from Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.”

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

London Fire Brigade confirmed the fire was under control at 5.05pm and that one man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

London Ambulance Service confirms no serious injuries

London Ambulance Service (LAS) confirmed that nobody was seriously hurt in the Hillingdon house fire.

An LAS spokesman said:
“We were called at 3.12pm today ( December 19) to reports of a fire in Mount Pleasant.
“We sent an ambulance crew and a paramedic in a fast response car to the scene.
“We checked over a patient at the scene but he declined further treatment.”

Up to 20 fire fighters are tackling a blaze that engulfed the floor and roof of a semi-detached house in Harefield, Hillingdon on Tuesday afternoon (December 19).
