Firefighters rushed to the aid of a motorist after a car smashed into bollards outside Hammersmith fire station .

It was one of two dramatic crashes in Hammersmith on Saturday night (November 25) according to police in the area.

Hammersmith and Fulham Police tweeted images of both collisions, stating the drivers emerged from the respective wreckages unharmed.

The first image posted by @MPSHammFul at around 7am on Sunday (November 26) showed a vehicle perched on a set of bollards outside the fire station in Shepherd’s Bush Road.

“Driver of this vehicle had a collision with some street furniture, outside the fire station on Shepherds Bush Road," said the force.

"Fortunately for him, our @LondonFire colleagues rushed out to provide first aid. Male is safe and well.”

The second image was posted at 10.44am, and showed a badly damaged car which appeared to have collided with a lamp post.

“It’s the morning for it,"the force added. "Yet another collision in Hammersmith. Luckily the driver is okay and no other persons were injured."

Police are yet to confirm whether any of the motorists involved were arrested.
