A woman accused of falsely claiming her husband died in the Grenfell Tower fire and obtaining more than £10,000 in funds allocated for survivors has been given a New Year trial date.
Joyce Msokeri, of Ambleside Gardens, Sutton, south London, is charged with six counts of fraud by false representation.
She was too ill to attend Southwark Crown Court on Tuesday (October 3) to hear her provisional trial date set for February 26, 2018.

The 46-year-old is said to have also falsely claimed to have a child in intensive care following the blaze on June 14.
A hearing on September 5 at Westminster Magistrates’ Court was told Msokeri made substantial claims on the basis she was a survivor of the fire.
That court heard it was alleged she made false representations to Kensington and Chelsea Council for money and accommodation at the Hilton hotel, to charities in order to obtain clothing and food, to hospitals that she was the wife of a patient, and also made false representations to HMRC and a GP surgery in Kensington and Chelsea.
Msokeri is due to appear in court next on November 23 for a plea hearing.
