Family and friends of a schoolgirl missing since the Grenfell Tower fire released balloons on Tuesday (July 4), on what would have been her 13th birthday.

They sung happy birthday to Jessica Urbano, who has not been heard from since fire raged through the block she called home on June 14.

She is presumed to have died in the tragedy.

Jessica Urbano has not been seen since the devastating fire

Dozens of children, many wearing T-shirts with “Happy Birthday Jessie” on them, and others in school uniform, gathered at Avondale Park in Notting Hill to remember the lost youngster.

Some balloons featured personal messages, with one simply reading: “God bless you.”

Her family briefly addressed and thanks those who came before the balloons were released at around 4.30pm, and there was also a birthday cake with the smiling face of Jessica on it.

At least 80 people are thought to have died in the fire.
