A five-year-old victim of the Grenfell Tower fire has been identified.

Isaac Paulous has been described by his family as a kind, energetic, generous little boy and said they will “miss him forever”.

It brings the number of victims of tower block fire who have been formally identified to 19, with a total of 79 killed or missing presumed dead .

Isaac's family said in a brief statement released through Metropolitan Police: “Isaac our beloved son was taken from us when he was only five years old.

“We will all miss our kind, energetic, generous little boy.

“He was such a good boy who was loved by his friends and family.

“We will miss him forever, but we know God is looking after him now and that he is safe in heaven.

“Isaac’s family is grieving and ask that their privacy be respected at this very difficult time.”

Eight of the confirmed dead have been named by police, while the names of four women, three men, two boys and a girl have not been named at the request of their families.

The Met says the families of all 19 victims have been informed, and are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.

The fire broke out in the early hours of June 14 , destroying the high-rise tower block.
