Child victims of the Grenfell Tower fire are at the heart of a donation campaign this Christmas .

Access Self Storage's annual Christmas Charity Appeal has this year selected Family Action as its beneficiary, after the charity was nominated by the Ealing Gazette and getwestlondon.

Family Action provides practical, emotional and financial support to those experiencing poverty, disadvantage and social isolation - including families and individuals affected by the fire in June.

This Christmas, Access Self Storage is seeking donations of new toys to give to disadvantaged children in the Grenfell community.

During the festive period, Access Self Storage stores in Isleworth , Fulham and Acton will be drop-off centres for gifts, which will be given to child victims.

Aimee Darke, from Family Action, said the charity is thrilled to be the focus of this year's campaign.

"We're very happy to have not one, but three Access Self Storage stores collecting toys on our behalf," she said.

"These gifts will make a real difference in making Christmas a little more special for the children and young people we work with."

Around 1,500 donations were collected last year during the annual Christmas Charity Appeal

To help the charity over the festive period, local residents and businesses are invited to donate new toys at any of the three stores until Friday December 15.

The stores hopes to beat last year's national collection, in which around 1,500 presents - including games, toys, clothing and even home-made creations - were given to more than 100 charities.

Access Self Storage manager Mehrad Mostofian said the charity hopes west London residents will help make "a Christmas to remember" for children affected by the fire.

"Family Action is a great choice as the beneficiary of this year's charity appeal," he said.

A huge number of people were affected by the Grenfell Tower fire in June

"Hopefully this year as many people as possible will think about giving something to help a person they have never met.

"We hope that everyone will give generously and make it a Christmas to remember."

Donations may be left at the receptions of the stores in Isleworth, in London Road, Fulham, in Fulham Broadway, and Acton, in The Vale, until December 15.
