Nearly £8million has been distributed to survivors and those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire .
A total of £7.8million has been handed out, with around £2m distributed in the last week , the Charity Commission said on Friday (August 25).
So far a total of nearly £19million has been raised following the disaster, which claimed the lives of at least 80 people, meaning 42% of funds has been distributed.
According to the charity watchdogs, £1.3million has moved from fundraisers to the distributing organisations in the past seven days, bringing the overall total to 56%.
Latest figures show British Red Cross has sent £2.4m of the £5.6m raised to distributing organisations, while Kensington and Chelsea Foundation sent £2,520,000 of £5,750,000 raised.
