Hundreds of delighted Ealing university students have marked their fantastic achievements at graduation ceremonies.

The University of West London (UWL) said goodbye to many students at events held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (November 17, 18 and 19) across its eight schools.

Presiding over the inspiring event were the Chancellor of UWL Laurence Geller CBE, Vice Chancellor Peter John, Pro Chancellor Lord Charles Farringdon and the Mayor of Ealing Councillor Dr Patricia Walker.

Mr Geller, who recently had the university's hospitality and tourism school named after him, said the graduates “embody the very best in our society.”

Culinary arts management graduate, Emily Jacquaye, said: “I've really enjoyed my time here at the university.

“I loved the lecturers and I loved the university building.

"I'm now looking forward to using my degree in the world place.”

UWL had recently sailed up the Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide to number 84, which is the 14 highest London university.

Professor Vice Chancellor at the university, professor Joelle Fanghanel, told graduates: “Make use of your studies for the public good and celebrate in style."
