A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital after a collision with a car on Goldhawk Road on the Chiswick and Hammersmith borders.

Emergency services took a female pedestrian who had been injured in the road traffic collision to be treated at a nearby hospital, police said.

The accident between Ravenscourt Gardens and Stamford Brook led to the closure of Goldhawk Road near Shepherd's Bush during the early morning rush hour from around 7am on Thursday (December 1).

The Metropolitan Police said: "There was a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

"A woman was taken to a Central London hospital with non-life threatening injuries."

Roads re-opened a couple of hours later at around 9.30am.

A cordon was put around a red bus while the vehicle was inspected by men in hi-vis coats.

At this stage it is unclear if the bus had any involvement in the incident.

Bus route 237 which operates between Hounslow and White City has been placed on diversion and is subject to delays in both directions.

The crash was reported shortly before 7am

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 6.03am today to reports of a road traffic collision at Goldhawk Road.

“We sent an ambulance crew to the scene, which arrived in under five minutes.

“We treated a woman at the scene and took her as a priority to a major trauma centre in west London.”
