General Election rivals have agreed a £10 bet on who will get the most votes in Brentford & Isleworth.

Green Party candidate Daniel Goldsmith and UKIP's Richard Hendron shook hands on the wager during an interview at Brentford Market on April 26.

Both men are rank outsiders to win, with odds of 100/1 widely available on either party to seize the seat.

Labour's Ruth Cadbury is heavy favourite, at 3/10 on with Ladbrokes, who have Conservative Mary Macleod at 5/2 to retain her seat and Liberal Democrat Joe Bourke 100/1 to spring a surprise.

At the last General Election in 2010, UKIP received 863 votes in the constituency, compared with 787 for the Greens.

The wager was recorded by Jim Dale for his independent election website Brentford TV, which also features interviews with the other local candidates.

The opponents are also shown discussing their differences on several issues including foreign aid, which the Green Party want to increase and UKIP want to slash heavily.
