The names of candidates battling for the Hammersmith constituency in this year’s General Election have been revealed.

Six people are on the ballot for the seat, which was won by Labour’s Andy Slaughter in 2015 with a majority of 6,518.

Two Hammersmith and Fulham Council ward by-elections will also take place on June 8.

The candidates for the Hammersmith constituency are:

  • Jack Bovill (UKIP)
  • Charlie Dewhirst (Conservatives)
  • Jagdeosingh Hauzaree (Independent)
  • Alex Horn (Green)
  • Joyce Wangui Onstad (Lib Dems)
  • Andy Slaughter (Labour)

Further elections will be held with two council seats up for grabs in H&F.

In the running for the Avonmore and Brook Green Ward are:

  • Will Marshall (Conservatives)
  • David Morton (Labour)
  • Irina Von Wiese (Lib Dems)

Candidates for the Sands End ward by-election are:

  • Jackie Borland (Conservatives)
  • Ray Burnet (Lib Dems)
  • Ann Rosenberg (Labour)

Polling stations will open between 7am and 10pm, with the results of the constituency election and two by-elections expected on Friday (June 9).
