Seven candidates will battle to become the next MP for Kensington .

The three major parties are all represented as are two independents, the Greens and Alliance for Green Socialism.

There is no UKIP candidate standing.

The candidates are:

  • Lady Victoria Borwick (Conservative Party)
  • Emma Dent Coad (Labour Party)
  • John Lloyd (Alliance for Green Socialism)
  • Peter Marshall (Independent)
  • Annabel Mullin (Liberal Democrat)
  • Jennifer Nadel (Green Party)
  • James Torrance (Independent)

The seat was won in 2015 by Lady Borwick , with a majority of 7,361 votes.

She was preceded by Sir Malcolm Rifkind, who stepped down after becoming embroiled in a conflict of interest scandal .

The general election takes place on June 8 , with polling stations open from 7am to 10pm.

The result of the Kensington constituency is expected to be announced in the early hours of Friday (June 9) morning.
