A fire at an industrial area on Packet Boat Lane in Hillingdon was put out by firefighters in the early hours of the morning on Thursday (March 24).

Six fire engines and 35 firefighters were called to the blaze, which is said to have "completely destroyed" a repair garage, along with 15 vehicles that were on the premesis.

London Fire Brigade (LFB) said they attended the scene at around 1.51am and added that the blaze was under control by 5.59am.

Fire crews from Hillingdon, Hayes, Heathrow and Southall fire stations attended the scene.

Crews on the scene prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent properties. Seven gas cylinders were found at the area, cooled down and removed.

No persons were involved in the incident and no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
