Free tickets to a new techno festival in Hounslow are up for grabs by local residents in a lottery.

Organisers of Junction 2, which is due to take place in Boston Manor Park, Brentford , on Saturday June 4, have invited those living within 1km of the park to apply for one of 25 pairs of complimentary tickets.

Drumcode, The Hydra and Closer will host stages at the event, which will be the first outdoor festival held by LWE.

Up to 10,000 people are expected to attend the feast of house and techno, where Adam Beyer is among the headliners.

Festival tickets expected to sell out

A spokeswoman for the festival said: "We wanted to give something back to the nearby residents. Boston Manor Park is a public space that we are utilising and we felt it was the right thing to do to offer residents the chance to see (for free) and experience what will happen in their park during Junction 2.

"Tickets are selling really well. We are about to sell out of our third release and final release will go on sale soon. We are anticipating a sell-out!”

The festival was given the go-ahead by Hounslow Council in March after organisers, who have promised "an unrivalled day of quality techno in the capital", agreed to put down a £10,000 bond to cover any damage to the park.

One of the organisers told getwestlondon how she fell in love with the venue after spotting it when driving past on the M4.

Anyone living within 1km of the park can enter the draw for free tickets by emailing lottery@junction2.london with their name, contact number, email address and proof of residence (this can be a photo or scan of an official document or a letter addressed to you).
