An elderly lady was followed by four men who stole £4,000 from her bag in Hounslow, police said.

According to Met police, the 70-year-old lady withdrew money from Barclays Bank in Chiswick before boarding the E3 bus on Chiswick High Road, on August 7.

Officers said the four men then followed the victim from the bank and stole £4,000 from her bag while she was boarding the bus.

Police have now released images of four men they would like to speak to in connection with the robbery.

The suspects are described as:

A white male, aged 50-60 years old, approximately 5ft 5ins tall and of large build. He had a round face and grey or white hair. The male was well dressed in a plain blue shirt and dark trousers.

A white male, aged around 25-years-old, approximately 6ft tall and of slim build. He had short dark brown hair and was well dressed in a beige shirt and dark brown trousers.

The other two suspects were both described as white men, aged around 25-30 years, of slim to medium build. They both wore light coloured shirts and dark trousers. One wore a dark jacket, before removing this during the theft.

All four suspects spoke with foreign accents, possibly eastern European.
