Firefighters rescued one adult and three children from a house fire on Locket Road in Harrow .

The London Fire Brigade were called to the property at around 10.24am on Tuesday (August 2) after receiving reports that the ground floor of a semi-detached house was alight.

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters, along with members of the police and London ambulance service were in attendance at the property.

The blaze was put out by crews from Stanmore , Northolt and Harrow fire stations on the scene, who were using breathing apparatus.

The 186 bus is also subject to diversion at the moment as a result of the fire, with Transport for London stating that there are delays in both directions on the road.

The LFB expect road closures to be in place in Locket Road for some time.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 10.25am today, 2 August to reports of a fire in Harrow.

"We sent four ambulance crews, an incident response officer, our Hazardous Area Response Team and a team leader to the scene alongside London’s Air Ambulance.

"The first of our medics were on scene in under five minutes.

"We treated four patients and took them as a priority to hospital."
