A woman has been taken to hospital after a collision with a car in Wembley on Wednesday morning (May 10).

Metropolitan police was called to reports of a collision on Forty Lane, at the junction with Bridge Road, at 10.20am.

Officers said a female pedestrian, a woman believed to be in her 30s, had been in collision with a car.

She was taken to hospital, and her condition is described as serious but stable.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended and the driver of the car, a Mercedes E-Class, stopped at the scene.

The crash led to road closures in the area, sparking heavy traffic queues, before being reopened.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
