A gala dinner to mark 100 years of a Fulham charity which provides support and accommodation for veterans has been held.
The evening celebrating Stoll’s centenary was hosted by actor, television presenter, and former I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! winner, Christopher Biggins, and took place at the Savoy Hotel in London on Monday (November 14), one day after Remembrance Sunday .
Stoll’s president, Field Marshall Lord Walker of Aldringham, said he hoped to see the charity, based in Fulham Road, carry on helping vulnerable heroes for the next 100 years.
“It’s time to celebrate 100 years of Stoll’s fantastic work providing housing and support to veterans," he said.
The one-off gala included a champagne reception, fine dining, a silent auction with a range of impressive prizes and a live 22 piece band.
Members of the Stoll community took part in Remembrance Sunday commemorations at The Cenotaph, and before that a special memorial was unveiled on Armistice Day .
Stoll provides safe, high quality housing and access to services that enable vulnerable and disabled veterans in need of support to live fulfilling, independent lives.
