Seven football fans have appeared in court to deny charges of affray following a fight which broke out after Brentford FC's loss at Watford last September.

Police arrested eight people amid the alleged violence in Watford High Street on September 30 last year, after the Bees lost 2-1 to their Championship rivals.

All but one of those people, including two men from Hounslow, one from Acton and a teenager from Isleworth, were charged with affray.

They appeared on Friday (February 13) at St Albans Magistrates' Court, where they all denied the charge and were bailed to appear for trial at St Albans Crown Court next Friday (February 27).
