The 18-month project to renovate a major office building in the centre of Uxbridge is nearing completion and getwestlondon was given an exclusive tour of the site.
Just outside Uxbridge Station, the Belmont building has been given a £30million face-lift and the inside is beginning to look quite spectacular.
It is unclear who will occupy the building when it opens in the new year, but work on the huge office space is due to be completed before Christmas.
The six-storey building in Belmont Road will include 171 parking spaces, 116 cycle racks and have 125,000 square feet of floor space – the same size as around 17 football pitches.
Aviva Investors and McLaren Construction are running the major project with the help of consultants Leslie Clark.
The British summer proved challenging for the teams involved as heavy rainfall stopped external work, but the contractors have been able to make up time and still expect to complete the major construction work before Christmas.
The mammoth project has 250 people on site and another 1,100 having some sort of hand in the development.
